Dr. Adam Bennati, Psy.D., LP, LMFT, LPC, NCC, CCTP

President | Counseling & Assessment Services

Dr. Adam Bennati was born, raised, and educated in Pennsylvania.  He received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology, with a specialization in marriage and family therapy, from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.  While at Kutztown University, Dr. Bennati was accepted into the graduate honor society Alpha Epsilon Lambda.  He completed his Psy.D. at Immaculata University.  Dr. Bennati is a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a Board-Certified Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.  In addition, he has completed intensive and accredited training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy/Mindfulness, Clinical Hypnosis, and Schema Therapy.  Dr. Bennati utilizes an integrative treatment approach which incorporates this training with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.

Dr. Bennati has provided the following services:  individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.  The groups have included the following:  Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills training, adolescent mental health counseling, substance abuse counseling, and numerous psycho-education topics.  The services have been provided at inpatient sites, outpatient sites, assisted living communities, family homes, and via cyber-video applications.  Dr. Bennati has worked with individuals from 4 years of age through 98 years of age, and he has worked with a broad range of diagnoses.  In addition to his practice, he is the clinical director for an agency which serves individuals diagnosed with Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Dr. Bennati has completed research on concussion and post-concussion testing, and he presented findings at the 2014 Pennsylvania Psychological Association Annual Convention.  He hopes to utilize his education, training, and skills to promote the growth and development of individuals in the local community, which is where his family and friends reside.

Betsy Bennati, M.Ed.

Director of Academic Services | Tutoring & Assessment Services

 

Betsy Bennati was born, raised, and educated in Pennsylvania.  She received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Pennsylvania State University and a M.Ed. in Reading from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.  Betsy holds two PA Teaching Certifications:  Elementary Education K-6 and Reading Specialist K-12.  Betsy currently teaches 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students and has prior Reading Specialist, classroom teaching and tutoring experience in grades Kindergarten through 6th.  

 

Betsy has extensive experience teaching and tutoring elementary school students in all aspects of reading (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension) using Wilson Reading System, Fundations, and a variety of additional resources.  Betsy has completed an in-depth study of teaching mathematics based on the Mathematical Practices, which many local schools strive to incorporate in their teaching practices.  Her experiences teaching and tutoring students with Singapore Math, Math in Focus and Everyday Math have proven to be invaluable to students needing additional mathematics support as well as those looking for opportunities to enrich and deepen their classroom experiences.  Aside from providing supportive or enrichment tutoring services in the areas of reading and mathematics, Betsy also performs reading assessments and reports.

 

Betsy has received national recognition for her innovative approach to teaching mathematics, has spoken on the topic of integrating STEAM in the general education classroom, and has received praise for her consistent success raising students’ reading levels and interest.

Tracy Rappold, M.S., LPC

Counselor | Individual & Couples Counseling

Tracy Freitas is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received a B.A. from West Chester University in Psychology. She received a Master of Science in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University in 2011. Tracy has worked in the past as a Therapist, Caseworker, Mobile Therapist for Adolescents, and an Addictions Counselor. She has been employed at a partial hospital program, an inpatient mental health facility, a mental health clinic for children, adolescents and families, and a

substance abuse outpatient facility.

 

Tracy has had training in Attachment & Emotion in Trauma & Growth, Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, Treatment of the Highly Resistant Patient, as well as much training surrounding the Disease of Addiction.  Her goal is to help clients accept themselves, listen to their own voice and create a life that is fulfilling.
