Psychological Assessment

Psychological assessments are typically administered when there has been a change in an individual in terms of cognitive, social, emotional, or behavioral functioning or when there are questions regarding an individual's potential or competency.  The assessment process typically proceeds along the following course:  consultation, clinical interview, testing, report writing, feedback session.  The length of time required for this process can vary based upon the types of tests and the number of tests utilized, as well as the amount of information to record and synthesize.  Tests are chosen based on the individual needs of the client.
